Stopping is the only thing that ends an ongoing or recurring campaign — a run that cannot send (empty audience, exhausted allowance, invalid content) is skipped and reported in last_error while the campaign stays active. Stop invalidates queued work; an email already submitted to SMTP may finish. History is kept. Requires delivery_mode=continuous or recurring.
